Cbazaar is based in Chennai, India, and was founded as in 2005 an exclusive Indian ethnic online store for the global South Asian Diaspora. Co-founders Rajesh Nahar and Ritesh Katariya evolved from selling groceries and booking tickets online to high-end retail and built Cbazaar with initial capital of ₹12 lakh funded by friends and family. Their vision is to make Indian fashion more widely adopted by global citizens, by harnessing more from what India is producing, in terms of fabric and design.

Betabrand
Betabrand is an online women’s clothing company based in San Francisco’s Mission district, known for Dress Pant Yoga Pants and other activewear for work and travel. Founder Chris Lindland designed the brand like a social network, where consumers interact with Betabrand designers as well as one another to inform and accelerate the design process.
Betabrand customers participate in the design process by voting on new apparel concepts and providing feedback, helping the company rapidly bring new products to market. Products are launched in weekly live shows, where designers field questions from fans in an interactive, chat-based experience. The goal was to build a brand that behaves like a social network, where consumers interact with Betabrand designers as well as one another to inform and accelerate the design process.

Maceoo was founded by MIT Engineer Mehdi Raad, who was born in France and raised in Lebanon. While working around the world for tech companies Ericsson and Apple, he had difficulty finding clothes that were appealing and comfortable. Inspired to make a change, he decided to code an algorithm based on a sample of 30 million people to fix this very issue. The result is a menswear line that is designed in Paris, made with innovative Italian fabrics, and inspired by the idyllic West Coast YOLO lifestyle.
